Imagination and memories

I have always loved getting lost in my imagination, whether it was being curled up with a book or climbing a tree and pretending to be the lead character in Enid Blyton’s The Magic Faraway Tree. I have a strong memory of going on holiday with my Anderson cousins and how they complained that I was always giggling behind a book and they could not share the joke. I’ve somewhat solved that problem with my husband by reading together, out loud to each other. Never tried it? Most things are much more fun with two. Same applies to reading. Speaking of adventure, this is a drawing by my favourite artist, Amelia Jane Smith. When we one day have a nursery to decorate I’m planning to use her wall stickers. They excite my imagination and very quickly I land up in the land of talking dragons and magic trees… A good book is like this drawing, it sucks you into another world - just like the wardrobe that opens into Narnia.

Getting started

I started this blog for two reasons. First I've always been mildly amused by the idea of having my own blog and secondly you need your own blog to receive free books from Booksneeze. This Christian publisher will send you a free book of your choice – from their list of course – if you will publish a review on your blog and that of a consumer website. So here goes!
